Brad R. Williams Since those early days, photography has become for me a way to capture the world. My images represent a moment that is captured to be shared in the future. It is both a way for me to recreate past experiences and to allow others to experience how I view my environment. I consider myself a nature photographer. While I capture many scenes in nature, I also capture the impact of man on nature. Landscapes, flora and fauna coexist with structures, artifacts, and destruction. All of it is part of the natural world we inhabit. Some is permanent, some is transitory, but everything leaves its mark. My medium is film, both color and black and white. The film I use is determined by how I see my subject. It is a personal decision, not easily explained. Once I decide, there is very little manipulation of the medium; I use lens, filters and settings to record a faithful image that expresses my vision and interpretation of my subject. If I have a purpose, other than the pure joy of creating an image on film, it is to allow others who follow me an opportunity to see the world as I see it and to interpret it for themselves.
