Gabrielle
Photography, Graphics, the Written Word

ARTIST STATEMENT:

My current art form is managing The Artists’ Studio Galleries and curating exhibitions of wearable art as well as writing and photography; presented as notecards, bookmarks and chapbooks and participating in poetry readings. Printmaking was my choice of two-dimensional art. Of all the forms of printmaking, my favorite was the photo-serigraph - whose image is first manipulated through the lens of the camera, then more so in the darkroom through addition, subtraction and separation, and still further by a multi-screen collage of that seen only in the mind. Digital photography and the computer now open doors once closed.
