Bridget Hardenbrook

Bridget Hardenbrook is a painter of oils, acrylics, and watercolor. She is a graduate of San Jose State University’s Graphic Design/Illustration program. She worked many years with motion computer graphics doing artwork and animation images for government and commercial firms.
But her first love has always been Fine Art, particularly painting. Channeling her fascination with color, form and pattern that is inspired by the design elements in nature, she creates paintings ranging in size from 11x14” to 30x40”.
Her work is highly stylized yet not abstract, representational yet not realistic. The forceful composition and deliberate use of rich, lively colors are essential to her canvases. The subject matter is usually glimpses of things in nature, with a special interest in tropical themes. She likes to make a strong visual impact by high contrasts in value, saturation, and color
juxtaposition.
“The wonder of nature has always been my inspiration. From the grandest clouds in the sky to the smallest petal of a flower, I see patterns and Divine design in everything. There are endless subjects for me to take notice. It’s what propels me in this journey of life.”
